How should we do the Packing of LCL Cargo ?

The term LCL means Less Than Container Load where multiple supplier put their cargo into Single container. Now, we should always keep in mind that when we move our cargo in LCL then our packing must be very strong, or it should be done in such a way which can bear ROUGH HANDLING. Since, this cargo will be handled through many channels, may be in imperfect way like by the Truckers, Forklifts, Top Loaders, Cranes, Loaders, etc.

How these channels move our Cargo depending on the operator. In LCL, the consolidators keep the cargo on one another, vessel goes from ever changing whether condition and sometimes, there is risk of breaking the packing and then we may loss our items inside the Box in re packing at Seaport or Transit. Keeping these challenges in mind, one must give clear instructions for proper and secure packaging before handling your precious cargo.

There are 2 type of LCL Cargo Packaging which must be clarified from shipper and give the advance and written notice to your Logistics Services Providers.

What Types of Packing for LCL Mode Shipments ?

  • Stackable: In this kind of Packaging, we can put our Cargo on one another, and the packing is very Strong, and no harm can be done to our Cargo.
  • Non-Stackable: Here, we cannot put any cargo on our Non-Stackable Cargo and as a result of this, there will be some empty space for us in the Container, for which the logistics service provide may charge you little higher than usual.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.
